Almost from the beginning in 1976, when our only equipment was a used typewriter, we knew that to survive and prosper in an increasingly competitive market, we'd have to take some serious steps toward vertical integration. Image now produces almost all the fiber and yarn we need for carpet production, no longer relying on outside fiber manufacturers. Image is the only carpet mill to produce its own polyester fiber from materials we recycle in-house.
An experienced authority on the recycling of post consumer plastics, we hold a strong position in the growing market for environmentally-friendly recycled goods. But we don't ask our customers to sacrifice quality or value for the sake of the environment. Everything we put our name on performs as well or better than goods made from non-recycled materials. We don't just manufacture products from recycled goods, we deliver outstanding value and performance to our customers.
The merger of The Maxim Group and Image Industries, completed on August 30, 1996, will give Image additional opportunities, while creating a more responsive company in serving the needs of our customers. Our goal is to make Image the most customer friendly supplier in the industry.
