From its beginning in carpet manufacturing as an outgrowth of a family owned chenille business, Queen Carpets has forged a reputation as the industry's leader in carpet fashion and technological innovation. Through internal growth and acquisition, Queen grew to become the fourth largest producer of residential and commercial carpets in the United States. In October of 1998, Queen Carpets merged with Shaw Industries, and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of the world's premier carpet manufacturer.
With 5,000 employees, Queen operates some 15 manufacturing locations from its Dalton(Ga.)headquarters.
